Si lo que quieres hacer es instalar Windows 7, es mas sencillo de lo que piensas y solamente necesitarás el DVD de instalación de Leopard junto con una copia en DVD de Windows 7 Beta, que se puede descargar gratuitamente de la pagina de Microsoft.
Solo debes recordar formatear una partición NTFS, pero lo puedes hacer directamente mientras estas realizando la instalación de este sistema operativo.
Si utilizas Boot Camp para este tipo de instalaciones surge un error frecuente al instalar Windows 7, un error 2229, porque reconoce que es un sistema operativo a XP o Vista, por lo que debemos hacer que crea que estamos instalando Windows Vista o Windows XP.
Esto se hace de la siguiente manera. Se copia la carpeta Boot Camp que se encuentra en el disco de Leopard a nuestro disco duro y luego modificaremos los siguientes archivos:
- BootCamp.msi
- BootCamp64.msi
Estos archivos se pueden encontrar en la carpeta “Drivers/Apple“ de Boot Camp.
Ahora lo que debemos hacer es abrirlos con un editor de texto y modificar todas las entradas que veamos tipificadas como “WindowsNT=600“ (Windows Vista) por “WindowsNT>=600“ (Windows 7).
Una vez modificado eso, BootCamp ya podrá instalar Windows 7 en tu Mac sin ningún tipo de problemas y podrás comenzar a disfrutar de este sistema operativo que tanto promete.
